Empowering Collaboration with input.fm Teams

The landscape of the music industry is complex, encompassing everything from artist management to event planning. Recognizing this, input.fm has developed a comprehensive Teams feature to streamline these varied aspects into a cohesive management experience. Teams are your central hub for collaboration—whether you’re managing a venue, a music group, or any entity within the music ecosystem. With input.fm, coordination and efficiency are at the forefront of your operations.

Setting Up Your Team on input.fm

Every journey on input.fm begins with creating your profile. Your profile can represent you as an individual professional or as a team right from the start — depending on the role you choose during onboarding.

Selecting a team-role (e.g., Band, Recording Studio, or Music Venue) automatically creates a team profile from the start. Your profile will reflect that, including "Team" in your user type badge.

Adding Members

Whether your initial role is individual or team-oriented, you can add members at any time to turn your profile into a collaborative workspace as you need it.

To add new members:

  1. Click your profile avatar to open the action menu.

  2. Select “Add Members”.

  3. In the following popup, search for the talent you want to invite and assign member’s permission.

  4. Choose “Invite by email” if you want to bring in new, off-platform collaborators.

Once the recipient accepts, they immediately gain access to the team with the permissions you assigned.

Creating Additional Teams

If you manage multiple careers or organizations, you can create additional teams at any point:

  1. Choose "Create New" in the right section of the header, and select "New Team". Alternatively, you can find a "Teams" section in Settings, and click "Create Team".

  2. Complete the form with your team's information.

Upon submitting your team’s details, the team is established, and you automatically become the Owner.

This ensures that your new team profile stays aligned with your overall account structure while giving you a dedicated workspace.

Permissions

For effective team management, access permissions enable you to specify what information and functionalities each team member can access. The available permissions are:

  1. Owner: All-encompassing control remains with the team initiator.

  2. Admin: Comparable to the Owner but with restrictions concerning team dissolution and modifying the Owner’s access.

  3. Finance: Geared towards financial team members, providing access to financial data and contracts.

  4. Events: Tailored for event management, granting access to scheduling and task tracking.

  5. Recruitment: Designed for HR, enabling talent scouting and management.

  6. Basic: Appropriate for temporary or specialized roles, offering limited access focused on individual tasks and related information.

Managing Access

Adjust your team members' access with ease:

  1. Navigate to "Team" > "Teammates".

  2. Identify and click on the relevant member’s access level.

  3. Assign the new Permission from the dropdown menu.

Managing Teams

Quickly navigate between your personal and team profiles by interacting with your avatar. This allows for easy management and viewing of your teams.

Joining a Team

Team membership requires accepting an invitation through the "Invitations" setion in "Network" or via "Notifications".

Transferring Ownership

Team ownership can be reassigned whenever leadership changes or when another member needs full control of the team. To transfer ownership:

  1. Navigate to "Team" > "Teammates".

  2. Locate the member you want to assign ownership to.

  3. Click the three dots next to the member.

  4. Select “Transfer Ownership.”

When you transfer ownership, your role will automatically change to Admin, and the selected member will become the new Owner. The new Owner receives full control and access rights over the team, including all settings and administrative permissions.

Concluding Participation

For leaving a team or removing a member:

  1. Navigate to "Team" > "Teammates".

  2. Click the three dots next to the member and select the appropriate action.
