Start a Contract

Congratulations on finding the perfect talent for your project! The journey from scouting to securing your preferred candidate is crucial, and the next step is just as vital - initiating a contract. Whether you're about to hire an artist for an event or book a professional for a specialized task, here's your guide on how to transition from mutual agreement to formal engagement through our platform. Ensuring you understand the process of sending an offer, what happens after it's accepted, and how to manage contractual changes is key to a successful partnership.

How to Hire or Book a Talent:

  1. Initiating an Offer: Navigate to the Team page > Hire > Proposals to find the proposal of the selected candidate. At the proposal's conclusion, you'll see the "Send Offer" button. Clicking this commences the formal hiring process.

  2. Direct Offers: Besides the proposal route, offers can also be directly sent from the talent's profile page. This functionality supports both Artist and Pro user types, enabling offers at any hiring stage before the contract's activation.

  3. Completing the Offer Form: Upon selecting "Send Offer," you'll be directed to a specialized form. This form divides into key sections:

    • Summary: Assign a name to the future contract and detail the primary task. Specify any related Gig and set deadlines or show dates for live events.

    • Payment and Expenses: Outline the financial agreement, including all budgetary terms.

    • Milestones: Though optional, breaking down the contract into phases can help organize the tasks and payments.

    • Terms and Conditions: Our platform offers standard Terms of Service, Cancellation Policies, and more. However, customization is encouraged to suit specific needs, especially for live shows requiring technical riders or other special arrangements.

  4. Funding the Offer: To activate and formally send the offer, escrow equal to the full contract budget must be funded. For milestone-based contracts, initially, only the first milestone requires funding. Team functionalities allow for fund requests among team members for this purpose.

Post-Offer Processes:

  • Acceptance, Negotiation, or Decline: The talent has three options upon receiving an offer: accept to start the contract, decline, or open negotiations for different terms.

  • Finding Offers: To view offers you've made or received, navigate to Team > Offers and select an offer to review its details.

Changing or Withdrawing an Offer:

It's natural for plans to evolve. If you need to modify or cancel an offer:

  1. Go to Team > Hire > Offers.

  2. Select the relevant offer to view its details.

  3. Use the "Withdraw" button to cancel the offer before acceptance. Funded offers that are canceled will be fully refunded.

Navigating the contract initiation process is a pivotal stage in solidifying your engagement with new talent. Our platform strives to ensure this transition is smooth, transparent, and flexible, accommodating the dynamic nature of collaborations in our community. By following these steps to send, modify, or finalize offers, you're well on your way to successful partnerships and outstanding project outcomes.
